a pulled tooth {project 365 :: 29/365}

We were at the DeYoung’s house last Saturday night. We all thought it would be fun to have the kids play and then put them down to bed there and then us adults could get “rowdy”. Well, rowdy never happened as it was one thing after another with the kiddos. It was super fun still.

Later into the night, after they had been in bed for over an hour, Lili came down and was talking about her tooth. At this point the Randalls had shown up now too. I told Lili she could have some ice cream if we pulled the tooth out. I wanted to be done talking about this darn tooth!  She was going to the bathroom and then I was going to pull it out when she got back.  Cheryl intercepted me and brought her to the bathroom – they came out with TOOTH IN HAND!! It was literally hanging on by a thread, so it was a quick pull. I was so proud of Lili.  And amazed that Cheryl could do this to someone other than her own kid.  I was quite nauseous after the first time I pulled Lili’s tooth out, and she is mine! ;0

Shortly after that, Lili was sitting there with her bowl of ice cream. Then she got about a white as a ghost.  I think the evenings’ events caught up to her and she was feeling tired, excited, adrenaline filled and just not sure how to react.  At that point, Mike and I looked at each other and decided to call it a night.

Tooth #2, in the books!!
