So…ever since Lili was a baby she LOVED holding her blankie. She still does. We can always tell when she is tired because she will start rubbing her blanket. Well, when she was about 18 months-2 years old she started discovering that there are “holes” in her blanket where she can stick her fingers. To this day, she puts her fingers in these “holes” every night to go to sleep. My grandmother (her great-grandmother) made two identical blankies for. Thank the good Lord for that! She is not completely attached, but if we ever do lose one, it is so reassuring to know that we have another. I think it is so special that my Grandmother did make these for her. I don’t know that she remembers that she made them, but is sure is special in my mind.
I happened to walk in and check on her the other night and her hand was sticking out of her bed. I think it is just precious! I ran and got my camera so I could get this on camera to remember forever! Here is what she does with her blanket (Don’t mind the unfinished paint job on her bed!):
