For those who have asked…

Many of you know I was majorly contemplating home schooling.  Mike and I prayed long and hard about this and we thought for sure we would end up doing this.  A good friend of mine, Anya, mentioned Byron Center Christian to me and I thought, what’s the harm in researching it.  Let’s go check it out.  So glad we did!  I have never felt so good about our decision.  Don’t get me wrong, I seriously cried when I met the teacher and we talked about sending Lili to her school, I cried the whole night we decided we were going to send her to school and sometimes I get sad thinking about the fact that she will be in school full time next year.  But I know that Lili absolutely LOVES the interaction with the kids there.  AND, I feel so much better because I know so many of the parents (well, I have got to know them since Lili started school) and I know that the kids are being raised the same way that we raise our kids.

It is super nice also to have the extra time to myself to get some things done around the house too – however that wasn’t a factor in our decision making process. Just a huge benefit 🙂

We thought preschool would be the best time for Lili to try school if that was what we were going to do.  Honestly I thought she would go to preschool and then we would homeschooling after that.  Well, she LOVES it at BCCS.  The teachers are amazing, and the kids are just great too!  They do crafts almost every day and Lili comes home telling me stories about things she has learned in the Bible.  We are SO thrilled with our choice.

If you are contemplating home schooling like I was or sending your kid to a christian schools, this school is amazing! They are having an open house for the 3-year old and 4-year old preschool for next year…and early enrollment.

Here is the postcard I got in the mail yesterday:

If your dreams include raising successful, confident, and compassionate children who recognize and embrace their God-given abilities, send them to Byron Center Christian School.  Here, your children will be academically and culturally engaged in a way that inspires them to improve society through the transforming power of the Gospel.  It’s all part of providing an education for life and faith for living.
